House of the Bone Storm Soundtrack season 1:

For the last couple of years Brandon and I have reverted to buying vinyl instead of CD's or digital copies from itunes or whatever. This all started when we had a computer crash and an ipod die in the same week and lost 30 days worth of music. "NEVER AGAIN" we declared, it's been vinyl purchases from there. Also, if you buy vinyl, you'll already know that most new records come with a free digital download so we are still walkman capable. It's not like we are Luddites or anything.

Since moving to our new place we have brought quite a few records home; some are classics that we are replacing and some are new releases.

I figured that this being a lifestyle blog, would be a nice place to share what we've been listening to at home. These are the records that have been purchased since moving in:
Space - Magic Fly
James Blake - Enough Thunder

Mellow - CQ Soundtrack
Bottin - Horror Disco

Gorillaz
Air - Moon Safari

Space - Spiders
David Bowie - Scary Monsters

TRST - TRUST

Gang of Four - Entertainment

The Hundred in the Hands

AIR - the Virgin Suicides Soundtrack

Blonde Redhead - Melody of Certain Damaged Lemons

Little Dragon - Machine Dreams

Nicolas Jaar - Time for us EP

John Talabot - Fin

Gonjasufi - Muzzle

The Breeders - Last Splash

The Clash

Lykke Li - Youth Novels

Prefuse 73 - The Only She Chapters

Those Shocking Shaking Days

Grimes - Visions

KRAUM: STORE PROFILE

I just wandered onto the website for KRAUM after seeing their display's at Iceland's design conference, DESIGNMARCH...via the internet. All the wares they sell are really interesting and seem to be limitted run peices that are hand crafted. Here are some of my favorites from their website.

Giraffe Chairs by Chuck Mack seem well suited to an elementary school library.
How fucking Barbarian are these fish lights by Dögg Guðmundsdóttir
I love the simplicity of this fruit bowl by Kristín Sigfríður Garðarsdóttir
This Olgas fruit bowl makes me think of Pinocchio. it was designed by Gler í Bergvík -Sigrún Ólöf Einarsdóttir
Hand felted lamps? This could be a an interesting DIY as long as the scale is right. Otherwise you may  run the risk of making something more akin to a 90's English teacher's outfit. They were designed by Anna Gunnarsdóttir. Do you think her father's name is really Gunnar?
Industrial concept mugs? Why not. Designed by Ragnheiður Ingunn Ágústsdóttir.

How smart and PoMo awesome are these plates designed by Hafsteinn Juliusson

Zeppelin @ Aleister Crowley's House

This concept is pretty much the backbone of the global goth aesthetic theme we are trying to cultivate for our new apartment. I can't seem to find many actual interior photos from Aleister Crowley's\ Jimmy Page's house,  the Boleskine Estate.  I guess that's okay because this way we are allowed to imagine it whichever way we want. Here are some pictures of how my make-believe Crowley estate looks and what kinds of parties we would have.
